Abstract
Objective : Studies related to traditional games for the elderly are insufficient, and related studies need to be activated. Therefore, in this study, traditional games are classified into cognitive, sensory, and motor categories to identify the required abilities for each traditional game.

Methods : Among the 332 games, a total of 30 games were selected as research tools, excluding games that were inappropriate for the elderly due to problems of difficulty or injury. A preference survey for traditional games was conducted on 146 college students in the Department of Occupational Therapy, and professors and clinicians in the Department of
Occupational Therapy classified traditional games into cognitive, sensory, and motor categories using Occupational Therapy Practice Framework, 4th edition.
Results : Thirteen traditional games with a preference score of 3.5 or higher were classified as body functions of the client factors of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework. As a result, the games with the most mental function(cognitive function) were Siltteugi(cat's cradle), and the games with the most sensory functions were Nunssaum(snowball fight) and Sumbakkogjil(hide-and-seek).
Neuromuscular and movement-related functions, and games involving the most movement functions were Nunssaum(snowball fights), Bomulchajgi(treasure hunts), Sumbakkogjil(hide-and-seek), Yeonnalligi(kite flying), and Julneomgi(jumping rope).

Conclusion : This study confirmed the classification according to the highly preferred traditional play and Occupational Therapy Practice Framework. In future studies, it is expected that related studies will be continued, such as identifying traditional games that can be performed by cognitive level and contributing to the development of cognitive improvement programs for the elderly.
